The Superstition Area is known for the Legend of the Lost Dutchman's Gold and the recreation provided by the reservoirs on the Salt River -- Saguaro Lake, Canyon Lake, Apache Lake, and Theodore Roosevelt Lake. Life is a little more rural -- quiet and relaxing -- here than in Phoenix or Tucson.
